Nicolas Anelka will play as a lone central striker with Didier Drogba also among the subs. Michael Ballack takes the place of suspended Deco.
Bordeaux make five changes from the team at Stamford Bridge including two in defence with Marc Planus and Franck Jurietti coming in.
Brazilian Wendel moves into the three-pronged attack having played in midfield back in September.
